Henneman Engineering provided all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing/fire protection design engineering services for this building expansion. The primary goals were to increase: critical-care capacity, the number of patient beds, the number of private patient rooms, and space for growing service lines. The expansion included adding seven more stories to the existing Atrium Building and one story to the existing Tower Building. The additional space is for catheterization laboratories, a heart institute, ICU and inpatient beds. The design also included an engineered smoke control system.
