Henneman Engineering provided full mechanical, electrical, plumbing/fire protection and information technology design engineering services including master planning and implementation. The new 122 acre self-standing Health and Wellness Campus includes complimentary health and wellness facilities comprised of a Health and Wellness Pavilion and an Assisted Living Center.
The new two-story 137,800 square foot Health and Wellness Pavilion includes: physician clinics supporting primary care, OB/GYN, sports medicine, orthopedics, minor surgery, cardiology and dermatology. The Pavilion also includes health related retail spaces, child care and educational meeting rooms. Outpatient services include: urgent care, full service diagnostics including laboratory, digital radiology, MRI, CT, audiology, mammogram, ultrasound and stress testing. The full-service fitness center includes a seven-lane lap pool, warm water therapy and activity pool, locker rooms, indoor track, free weight and cardio/aerobic equipment with full support services.
The new 30,310 square foot Assisted Living Center is a single-story facility with 24 luxury living units, expandable to 48-units in the future, with residents having access to common activity rooms, full-service kitchen with central dining room, wellness/therapy services, beauty and barber salon and sleep lab unit.
Henneman Engineering provided site coordination that included utilities for remote cooling towers and other site amenities such as water fountains and ponds. The MEP systems for the Health and Wellness Pavilion were designed to support future conversion of the building to an I-2 type occupancy. This was one of the unique tasks the design team provided for this project, along with lifecycle cost analyses of various HVAC options, including analysis of a geothermal system option.
