
Henneman Engineering/Industrial Technology Group professionals volunteered their time and expertise to support young mathletes at a regional MATHCOUNTS competition February 7 on the campus of the University of Illinois.
Supporting programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education may inspire young people to pursue careers in STEM fields.
MATHCOUNTS is a national enrichment, club and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement through grassroots involvement in every U.S. state and territory.
Local schools in attendance: Next Generation, Jefferson Middle School, Franklin Middle School, Countryside and Uni High. Sponsored by local chapter of ESI – Engineering Society of Illinois
MATHCOUNTS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides engaging math programs for all students in grades 6-8 in U.S. schools to build confidence and improve attitudes about math and problem solving. Over 100,000 students participate in our programs each year, and thousands more use our free math resources.
