Primary Responsibilities:
- Exercise judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Conceptualize the initial electrical design approach for all project types and has overall responsibility for the electrical engineering work.
- Knowledgeable in consulting and construction practices to include plan/specifications, design/build, and construction manager roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials and other outside agencies.
- Resolve a variety of complex problems (i.e., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
- Serve as liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
- Organize and prepare all electrical construction drawings (single-line diagrams, layouts, sections, elevations, and details as appropriate), technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates. Also participate in contract bidding/administration and on-site project management.
- Conduct electrical systems analysis, such as arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies utilizing power system analysis software.
- Understand power system protection and relaying schemes for electrical distribution systems.

Qualifications/Requirements Of Mechanical Engineer:
- Education: 4-Year Electrical Engineering degree required.
- Experience: Entry level. However, Henneman Engineering is open to considering a diverse range of experience and skill levels. Experience with AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP (or other power systems analysis software) is preferred.
