Henneman Engineering was retained to provide mechanical and electrical engineering support for the conceptualization, design, bid/award, construction, and warranty phase services for this project. The project included a prioritized window replacement, repair of deteriorated areas of the exterior façade, and HVAC upgrade scope of work intended to significantly improve thermal characteristics of the exterior envelope to provide energy savings, improved aesthetics, better HVAC system control, reduced maintenance, and better thermal comfort.
As part of the HVAC upgrades, the existing window air-conditioning units were evaluated. They currently serve approximately 7,950 SF of the building. Analysis included upgrading these units to a new HVAC system for more efficient cooling and improvements to the building envelope with full window replacement.
Other MEP work included lighting and fire alarm systems upgrades.
