The Allied Trades Building and the Combined Support and Maintenance Shop are used by the Illinois Army National Guard in Springfield, Illinois.
Both the Allied Trades Building and the Combined Support and Maintenance Shop house a full array of equipment to provide vehicle and equipment maintenance required by all facilities operated by the Illinois Army National Guard. These buildings include a large vehicle paint booth, overhead cranes, welding, paint stripping, carpentry, fabrication and installation, and general maintenance bays.
Henneman Engineering provided full mechanical, electrical, plumbing fire protection, and IT design, as well as LEED energy modeling and facilitation services in pursuit of achieving LEED Silver Certification for both facilities.
The unique nature of these facilities including large and specialized equipment process loads required care by Henneman Engineering in setting and monitoring project energy goals associated with meeting and exceeding state and federal mandates.
