Lake Geneva Public Library
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
Lake Geneva Public Library project renovated 9,300 square feet of interior space: almost half of its existing building on the picturesque shores of Lake Geneva.
Pendant lighting was designed for the main lobby area and the cove lighting system received a direct replacement. Existing branch circuits were connected to new lighting controls.
New domestic water and sanitary systems accommodated restroom renovation. HVAC supply and return air ducts were modified accordingly.
An electronically commutated motor (ECM) fan in the mechanical room was installed to move fresh air from the fresh air duct to the furnaces. The new fan can be programmed with different speed settings. The settings are to be: “off” when the building is unoccupied, “full” delivering 20% OSA to all furnaces, and “min” delivering code minimum outside air when the temperatures are extreme outside. An outdoor air temperature sensor and a snow sensor were installed to control the new outside air fan electronically.
Henneman Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and information technology engineering services.
