Milton Library Renovation
Milton, Wisconsin
The Milton Library Renovation expanded all three floors of the building, more than doubling its size. It features a two-story, glass-enclosed lobby space with unlimited access to library materials through book lockers. The first floor now has a glass-enclosed Spark!Lab technology and maker space. The first floor also houses the adult collection, young adult section, computers, and a quiet reading room. The second floor has a large community meeting room, history/genealogy collection, agricultural themed children’s area, children’s storefront play area, and a program room with a glass partition which can be moved for large events. The lower level has a community room, building support space, and book sales area. The Milton Library won the AIA Iowa People’s Choice Award in 2017 and was named 2018 Library of the Year by the Wisconsin Library Association.
