Osceola Discovery Center
Osceola, Wisconsin
This award-winning project (Best New Building of 2018, Wisconsin Main Street Awards given by Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation) was a new facility tying into the existing fire department and included space for administration, courts, fire, library and police functions. There was also an included fabrication lab and community center.
The new fire protection system, including a new, larger water service installation, covered specific areas of concern that brought tailored fire suppression strategies to high-value areas (i.e.. evidence storage, legal records, etc.)
The main building was served with a standard automatic wet sprinkler system and the evidence storage area received a pre-action system. Deemed non-replaceable, the legal records area received the most protection with a FM200 clean-agent system.
Henneman Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design services.
